Lately, I haven't been the greatest at getting my weekend workouts in. Last weekend, I had family in town, and this weekend, I moved into the dorms and started my week of band camp, so finding time to hit the gym has been a real challenge. Although I'm away from home this week and busy with camp, I actually anticipate having plenty of down time to get my workouts in. After all, I've set a goal to fit into one of my pairs of Nike running shorts by the time my birthday rolls around in July. |
The picture above is from after my five mile run with Quinn on Friday. We made it all five miles (a new record for us!), but it was way hotter out at the park than I realized. Both of us were totally spent when we got back home -- Quinn decided it would be most efficient to nap right next to her water bowl and was irresistibly cute, as usual. |
In more recent news, band camp is off to a great start! The other counselors are incredibly nice, and the girls on my floor are fun and easy to work with. I'm the only first-time counselor, so I feel a little out of my league at times and am still getting used to being looked up to by students, but I think it's going to be a great week!
